We are seeking one Business Analyst (full time).

EastLink is looking for an enthusiastic Business Analyst to join our Applications team within our Information Technology department. Reporting to the Applications Manager this permanent full-time position will provide an excellent opportunity for you to develop your career as you apply your existing knowledge and administration skills in a fast-paced but flexible environment. 

The primary purpose of the Business Analyst role is to be the functional expert in several business areas that support EastLink’s tolling system, and be the point of contact between the business and external parties in relation to the delivery of solution. The successful candidate will need to

  • Understand the structure, policies, and operations of EastLink,

  • Be competent in analysing and troubleshooting issues with EastLink’s tolling system,

  • Recommend solutions that enable EastLink to achieve its goals,

  • Work to implement those solutions.

Within this role you will (but not limited to)

  • Be responsible for the development of functional change within the tolling system,

  • Based on specification documents, prepare test plans and cases for each change,

  • Test new versions of tolling system components through the test, acceptance, and release processes,

  • Monitor the problem and incident ticket queue and respond promptly to issues raised in the tolling system,

  • Assist the Application Manager in preparing activity plans and schedules for tolling system changes,

  • Be an active participant in scoping studies and workshops, cost estimation, and business case development,

  • Act as technical liaison between the business and the system delivery team to identify and elaborate on all processes such that all requirements are accurately defined.

Business Analyst - Employment Information Kit

We are seeking one Civil Engineer (full time).

EastLink is looking for a Civil Engineer (with a minimum 5 to 7 years' experience) to join the EastLink Engineering team, reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer. The position is permanent full time. The position will provide an excellent opportunity to develop your career as you apply your engineering knowledge to maintaining and enhancing EastLink's infrastructure which includes the 1.6km twin tunnels, 80 plus road and pedestrian bridges, noise walls, major drainage structures, shared user paths, landscape area and 39km open motorway.

The primary purpose of this Civil Engineer role is to:

  • Co-ordinate the response on engineering matters that affect EastLink's structures and civil assets and maintenance related practices;

  • Implement engineering projects on EastLink;

  • Participate in the Operation and Maintenance Alliance team to ensure EastLink is safely and efficiently maintained and operated;

  • Manage the processes of identifying, reporting and rectifying defects on major projects;

  • Assist with project management and technical queries of major projects including the current major asphalt resurfacing project; and

  • Represent EastLink within the road authority sector and participate in setting road engineering strategies, standards and safety practices. 

The scope of this Civil Engineer is to:

  • Coordinate Alliance resources from CE and Ventia to achieve operational and maintenance engineering outcomes and apply engineering discipline.

  • Make decisions and express opinions and recommendations consistent with his/her qualifications, skill and experience.

  • Work within the provisions of the EastLink Operations Alliance Agreement and EastLink Concession Deed.

  • Represent ConnectEast’s views to external parties on matters relating to the Position’s Primary Purpose and consistent with the obligations of the EastLink Concession Deed and the EastLink Operations Alliance Agreement.

  • Deliver engineering projects on budget and schedule.

  • Apply engineering principles to the continued development of the Asset Management.

Civil Engineer - Employment Information Kit

We are seeking one IT Security Specialist (full time).

The IT Security Specialist is responsible for providing advice and guidance on Information Technology and Operational Technology security, including the design and implementation of security controls. The IT Security Specialist will contribute to the delivery of the security program and the continual improvement of ConnectEast’s security posture, including adherence to Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards and protection of customer data in accordance with the Privacy Act (as amended from time to time). The IT Security Specialist will ensure that employees understand and adhere to necessary policies and procedures to maintain information security.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in maintaining compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards

  • Provide technical advice and guidance on security controls for IT/OT systems and networks

  • Drive continuous improvement in cyber security by identifying areas of risk

  • Identify and prepare detailed security requirements for projects

  • Conduct internal security compliance audits; provide recommendations to mitigate identified issues

  • Assist in preparation for external compliance audits and evidence collection

  • Assist in simulated security crisis management exercises, red teaming and phishing campaigns

  • Assist in preparing business cases and statements of work for security projects

  • Evaluate and provide recommendations for security products and solutions

  • Promote a security awareness culture through regular reminders, updates and insights; Develop security awareness training material; Conduct occasional training sessions on a selected topic

  • Remaining current with cyber security technology, practices and key threats to provide informed decision-making and minimise cyber security incidents

  • Create security policies, standards and procedures

  • Assist in troubleshooting security issues including root cause analysis and strategies to minimise future events

  • Assist with user testing (Security related) as required

  • Understanding of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing and advising on resolution and mitigation

  • Conduct research on emerging threats, provide guidance on security products, services and standards to protect our systems, networks and data

  • Undertake cyber security risk assessments; analyse business impacts and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks
