EastLink Trail

EastLink features 35 kilometres of new bicycle and walking tracks as well as many connections linking to existing bicycle paths adjacent to the roadway.

Starting just east of Mitcham Road in Donvale, the three metre wide concrete path winds its way through the Mullum Mullum Valley and heads south connecting to the Dandenong Creek Trail before crossing Greens Road in Melbourne’s south-east.

The EastLink Trail gives cyclists and pedestrians a dedicated pathway from Seaford to the city, taking in many different types of environment, including wetlands, parklands and natural bushlands. Recreational walking, jogging and cycling opportunities have been enhanced, as has the community’s ability to enjoy open parkland and reserve areas.

Parks Victoria, VicRoads, Melbourne Water, Bicycle Victoria and local councils had input into the development and location of the shared use paths on EastLink.
