RIDE FOR HOME - 14 NOVEMBER 2010
23/07/2010

Serious cyclists will have a unique opportunity to ride the full length of EastLink on the morning of 14 November 2010 in a charity fundraiser to 'break the cycle of homelessness'.
ConnectEast will close the EastLink motorway to traffic in both directions from Ringwood to Frankston for the cyclists-only 75 km distance event that will be timed and will include a trip through both EastLink tunnels.
Recreational cyclists will be able to ride a shorter 35 km event that also includes the tunnels.
An initiative of Hanover Welfare Services and backed by ConnectEast, the Hanover ConnectEast Ride for Home is expected to be one of the largest closed road cycle events ever staged in Australia and is supported by The Age.
Entrant numbers will be strictly limited.
