EASTLINK TRAFFIC & REVENUE (JANUARY 2010)

ConnectEast, the owner and operator of EastLink, has released traffic and revenue information for January 2010.
Highlights include:
- Average Daily Revenue (ADR) of $496,494 was 16.9% higher than in January 2009.
- Average Daily Trips (ADT) of 151,422 was 12.6% higher than in January 2009. There was one less workday in January 2010 compared to January 2009.
- Average Workday Trips of 174,846 was 17.3% higher than in January 2009 and consistent with growth rates see in recent months.
- Average trip length increased by 5.1% compared to December 2009, reflecting the seasonal change in travel patterns and lifting the average trip toll to $3.28 despite the seasonal reduction in commercial traffic.
- The comparison of January 2010 EastLink traffic to December 2009 is negatively impacted by the Christmas and Victorian school holiday period which commenced in December 2009 and continued until 31 January 2010. There were also two less workdays in January 2010 compared to December 2009.
